It’s a pain that many families quietly carry. After a mother passes away, grief can sometimes bring people closer—but for others, misunderstandings, old wounds, and unresolved hurt can create distance that lasts for years.

This isn’t just a story I’ve imagined. It’s a journey that has touched my own family and inspired me to write A Rose for My Sister.

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, I’ve cared for people whose physical wounds needed healing. But I’ve also come to understand that some of the deepest wounds are the ones we carry in our hearts. Family division, silence between loved ones, and the longing for reconciliation can leave scars that no one else can see.
